Cambodia's ASEAN SOM Leader Participates in 30th ASEAN-China Senior Officials' Consultation

PHNOM PENH, April 13, 2024: Kung Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Cambodia’s ASEAN SOM Leader, attended the 30th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Consultation (ACSOC) held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 10.

The meeting focused on reviewing the cooperation between ASEAN and China across the three pillars of the ASEAN Community: Political-Security, Economic, and Socio-Cultural. This year also marks the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges, with leaders discussing several activities to celebrate this milestone and exploring future directions to advance the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) more effectively.

Discussions also covered a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern, enhancing dialogue and cooperation.
